Jon Bon Jovi used to be a Drug Dealer

The Bon Jovi frontman confessed he bought and sold marijuana while he was a struggling teenager growing up in New Jersey.

He said: "I did the drug thing very young and wised up very young too, because I was into drugs a little too much.

"I was entrepreneurial even then, buying quarter pounds of dope and trying to make a couple of bucks."

The 'Livin' On A Prayer' singer says a bad experience with illegal substances at an early age stopped him from becoming a user when he eventually found fame and fortune.

The father-of-four said: "Did you ever smoke dope that was laced with PCP (phencyclidine) and then have that whole summer of hallucinations? It was f***ing awful.

"That's why I've never been a drug guy. I always felt I didn't have the mental stability."

Bon Jovi recently revealed he is embarrassed to let his kids see his old 80s hairstyle.

The rock star - who has sold 120 million albums since Bon Jovi shot to fame in the early 80s - admitted he hasn't shown his children DVDs of his old concerts for fear of what they might think.

He said: "I've heard Richie Sambora (guitarist) and Dave Bryan (keyboard player) say they played their kids a DVD of our old concerts from 20 years ago, and they were really laughing. But I've never done that.

"They would probably laugh at my 80s hair. Sure they would. I laugh at it - it's part of growing up in public."

I have known people who have sold marijuana to get by.

I ALWAYS THOUGHT THAT HE DOES LOOK LIKE A USER!  HE STILL DOES LOOK LIKE A GAS FACE!

So what? There are very few kids that didn’t sell something. It was just pot. Its not like he was pushing prescription drugs, XTC, coke, and heroin, like the kids are nowadays.

Its funny how the “War on Drugs”, centered mainly on pot because it was a “gateway” drug, yet ask a group of teens and their first drug experiences are prescription. Which is more dangerous: A kid chowing down on oxycotins, or a kid smoking a joint? Hmmmmmm….. makes you think about how the more restrictive parents, schools, and the government becomes, the more rebellious kids become. It is going to come to a point where kids are going to end up having sex, bringing in guns, and popping pills as young as kindergarteners.

  Give children some space.

LIAAAAAAAAAARRRRR!!!!!!!!! I work at a bar in Monmouth County and he’s been in there a couple times. EVERY time he’s there, he’s ski’d up and going back and forth to the bathroom the whole nite. LIIIIIIIIAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!

He sold pot back in the day. YAWN!

I can’t believe he used to sell drugs but never used them until getting addicted. I’m sure he sniffed some coke and smoked some pot but who didn’t? He is the exception that confirms the rule that the bigger the fame and notoriety is, the bigger the chances to end up in a drug and alcohol rehab center, depending on the substance of choice. I rather live my life as an anonymous being then being a crack-head that throws away a career for drugs.
