Justin Timberlake has upset his Australian fans with his diva-like behavior.
The 'SexyBack' singer, who performed two concerts in Brisbane at the weekend, snubbed fans waiting outside the Jade Buddha restaurant despite promising them autographs on Friday.
Timberlake, 26, told admirers who had spotted him in the waterfront eatery he would sign autographs after lunch, but later made a hasty exit from the restaurant without returning to see the fans.
He also reportedly failed to leave a tip despite being given a free $140 meal.
The singer, whose behaviour was described as "surly", also insulted one photographer as he left the restaurant, according to Brisbane's Courier Mail newspaper.
The excited paparazzo told Timberlake: "If my kid could see me now, he'd be so excited."
Timberlake reportedly replied: "I can't believe they let you reproduce children."
When Timberlake was asked if he was enjoying his stay in Brisbane, he grunted in response and ignored fans who were excitedly waving and shouting to him.
The following day, Australian radio station B105 managed to telephone Timberlake's hotel room but when the DJ identified himself, Timberlake moodily hung up.
The singer-and-actor is notorious for his hatred of photographers and has previously flown into fits of rage at paparazzi.

I’m from New Zealand, and we don’t tip here. Far as I remember, it was the same in Australia. I don’t care for Justin Timberlake at all, but I’d also hang up if a radio DJ called my room when I hadn’t given my number to them.

You dont tip in australia so that is perfectly understandable. It is not a common practice to do it. If they gave him a free meal then so be it, he shouldnt have to tip. They got the free publicity. However, he should treat his fans with a little more decorum and respect because they are the ones who are buying his crappy album and voting for him on TRL and MTV, buying his concert tickets and teeshirts and memorabilia. Being rude to a journalist doesn’t do him any favours, especially in australia where we already have a bad case of “tall poppy syndome”.

So… I am not a fan but I hardly see how any of these things make him an asshole or diva. This is more of a general note for celebs. So a DJ called him in his hotel: Do we know the hour or Justin’s schedule…no. Was this some sort of organized interview, no - he would have gone to the station for that. How many times to you hang up on people you don’t know that call you with unclear intentions…Daily with telemarketing. He just wanted some time to himself.
Paparazi are annoying as hell. They get paid to stalk people. I don’t think most of us, including myself can image how much such an invasion of privacy would affect our lives and annoy us to our wit’s end. The comment although snide, definitely has a lot of justification.
When you are being given a free meal, is there some unwritten law that you must leave tip. It could easily have been a misunderstanding. Maybe the manager said, “It is all taken care of.” and Justin though that really meant all. Maybe he tried to leave a tip, was denied and then the papers only wrote that he did not leave one. All this is total guessing, but that is exactly what everyone else is doing when judging him negatively. You don’t know the whole story so don’t act like you do.
The only thing in this report that seems bad is the fact that be promised autographs and thin did not put out. But again, who knows maybe something happened we are unaware of. Get over it people. You don’t “know” celebrities anymore than total strangers and we are all fed BS by potentially biased reporters which help us make ill-formed preconceptions.
