he’s got a point…of course i think all “black lingo” is tacky.  it’s nice to know if i listen to his music i’ll be branded a wigger and/or out of style.  way to segregated yourself, kayne.  and before i forget, nice outfit.

It IS actually tacky when ANYONE including black ppl use ‘ebonics’ or ‘black slang’ or ‘black lingo’.  It sounds stupid.  I remember one time Oprah said it well. A woman had written into her saying” As a black woman…I don’t like it that you talk ‘white’..blabla”  Oprah said. “I speak the English language”.  If anyone’s got a problem with that, try getting an education for yourself and stfu. The word bling in my eyes is just stupid now…at first it was “uh ok” but now it’s like stfu already. As far as “black lingo” goes it’s nothing more than what originated from the south…most of it is. But things like “i have to get that cheddar” a.k.a. “i have to get that money” is just annoying to me. Hell when some people talk to me with a lot of slang i look at them like i’m crazy because some things i truly don’t know what the hell it means. Slang will be around for years and if people don’t like it then don’t use it.

And the oprah thing? I hate when people say “you talk white”....no bitches it’s called talking like i have some sense. Kanye really need to stfu or get his mouth wired shut like before (i think it was).

slang has always been around and always will. It has always made people look and sound ignorant and it always will. The ‘black’ slang you are referring to actually began due to lack of education. Since many poor people, blacks, women native americans…etc were unable to get formal education. Great origins for the ‘cool’ shit people think they speak, eh?

Uh, there’s a time and place for everything. People can talk however they want; if they’re not talking to you, I’m sure they don’t care what you think. But nobody in their right mind would go, say, on a job interview talking about “Nigga, I needs me a job.”

Lol i thought it was funny that as soon as i commented before something like this came up. I was watching that movie hot fuzz and one guy said “this is off the chain” or something like that and i thought it was fucking stupid because some say that it’s tacky or stupid but use it anyways.

And what you wrote just made me think of the time ice-t commented on black people using the word “nigga” towards each other. I think he said it very well.

If people want to look like dumb asses and disgrace their own cultures, so be it. Their absolute right. I have the right to say they are morons.

When someone talks ebonics to me, I look at them and ask, “Can you please translate for me, I happened to leave my ebonics dictionary at home.”  They never seem too amused, but it gets the point across.

Oh, and someone needs to tell Mr. West that those sunglasses look as if he grabbed them off the rack at the local 7-11 convenience store.  There is no accounting for some peoples’ taste.
