Singer Kelis was arrested early Friday morning in Miami Beach after screaming racial obscenities at two female police officers who were posing as prostitutes.

The officers were working an undercover operation in South Beach, when cops say Kelis started screaming racial slurs at the women. She continued screaming and rushed toward them, and had to be restrained by friends, a police report said. According to the report, Kelis' "actions caused people walking by to stop and form a crowd. The sidewalk was blocked by the disturbance, causing people to walk in the street and causing traffic to stop."

Kelis, the wife of rapper Nas, was charged with two misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and for resisting arrest.

A rep for Kelis had no comment.

just like there are middle and upper class young men with exceptional educations who chose to perpretrate and thug lifestyle b/c it makes them feel somehow more confident or cool. kelis chooses to act in a low class way that is more appropriate to the ghetto style than the way a normal person. i’m middle class…if i saw hookers working a stroll i would assume i was in a shitty neighborhood and walk away, not go run up on some bitches who might cut me or sic their pimp on me.

Ghetto started out as a place but since people like to classify certain actions that aren’t up to standards ghetto, it can go both ways i guess. And i wonder if nas is racist like she is? So…if Kelis is disrupting police action in a known prostitution area, creating a public disturbance, blocking traffic and overall making a bigass scene for no other known reason than b/c she felt like wigging out…then yes she’s “ghetto” in that she is outside the norm of what is currently considered acceptable to normal people and society at large…then YES THAT BITCH IS GHETTO.

I have heard from perez hilton.com that she through out racist remarks at these “hookers” that actually were under cover cops. Can you imagine the uproar if a white woman said racist remarks about a black woman? Wow, the white womans career would end and it would be pure chaios. Funny how hipacritacle this nation is now.
