Superior Court Judge Richard Kramer threw out a class-action lawsuit yesterday seeking to ban toys in Happy Meals in most parts of California. Kids all over are jumping up and down. The lawsuit which was filed in 2010 by mom Monet Parham along with the Center for Science in the Public Interest, a consumer advocacy group. The executive director Michael Jacobson felt the ruling was unjust. In a statement on the CSPI's website he said: “McDonald’s must stop exploiting children at some point. Using toys, of all things, to lure young children to fast-food meals is not responsible corporate behavior.” (ABC News)



Oh come on. Let the children have some fun toys. It's more about moderation and limiting their junk food intake. When you're not EATING JUNK.... drink water, eat greens, exercise, and just live. But don't kill yourself over it. Besides, the last time I got a Happy Meal, just last week, it came with like 5 fries and apple slices besides the cheesburger. Soda.... ok... that can be skipped and milk (even chocolate) is always an option. Toys are the best part. No I'm not 5, but I'm also not an old fart that doesn't like fun either. =)
