Kimberly Stewart is suffering from serious liver disease, caused by heavy
drinking.

Kimberly - the daughter of legendary singer Rod Stewart - is a regular on
the London and Los Angeles party scene but, according to her father, her
wild lifestyle has taken its toll on her health.

Rod said: "She just discovered that she has a very serious liver illness
from drinking too much."

The 61-year-old star has also revealed that Kimberly has blamed her
Scottish heritage for her lifestyle.

Rod, who is a proud Scotsman, explained: "She said to me, 'Dad, I'm half
Scottish, I thought I was allowed to drink a lot.' I said, 'No, darling, it
doesn't work like that.'"

The 27-year-old model has not touched a drop of alcohol since being informed
of her illness.

Kimberly's health problem is the latest blow to Rod, who has been dealing
with his son Sean's alcohol and drug addictions.

The 26-year-old has been battling his demons since he was a teenager and has
had several brushes with the law.



UPDATE: According to Splash, Rod is now saying his daughter "only had an 'inflamed liver' and not a liver disease and it was a temporary problem that she has overcome." Recently he revealed Kim had breast augmentation surgery and branded them a "nice pair."

He is quoted by Britain's Daily Star newspaper as saying: "One of my
daughters was a bit flat-chested so she had implants. She's got a lovely
pair now. Nothing wrong with it, I reckon, if it does wonders for a girl's
confidence."

Wow, she must have been drinking a hell of a lot for a 26 yo to have liver disease from drinking.

Not buying it. Figure she has hepatitis from having sex or sharing a needle and they just don’t want to admit it.

What imput does their mother Alana Stewart have with these kids?  They are both druggies, drinkers, and her first kid, their step-brother, Ashley Hamilton (son of George Hamilton and first husband of Shannon Doherty) has had more than his share of drug adventures himself.  Shitty mother?

I think that her dad shouldn’t have said all this stuff to the press about his own daughter. But i had a cousin who died at the young age of 25 from sorosis of the liver, which is caused by excessive drinking. It can happen to anyone. Alcohol is total poison to your body. I hope she is doing better though.

I worked in medical claims once and seen a lot of young people die from alcoholic livers and poisoning. Some who start drinking at age 8-9, by the time their age 30 they have liver cirrhosis and on the transplant list!

I don’t get why, if her liver is sick, why would she go and put poisons like silicone in her body as well.  If i were sick, I’d be looking for a new liver, NOT NEW BOOBS!

I live in the hills, and I’ve heard that it was the combination of Acutane and alcohol that provoked the damaged.

What is Acutane?

Acutane is very dangerous. People have died from it. I think it should be banned.

it must work because i see no acne, but if its resposible for why she’s so fugly they definately need to pull it off the market.

Accutane is a medication prescribed by many dermatologists. There is an excess of vitamin A which is really bad for the liver, and can be really dangerous if you drink alcohol on a regular basis.

Side effects. If it happens to one person they have to list it. I think it’s like any other drug and the people that killed themselves would have done it anyway.

So she doesn’t have a liver disease? How do you go from liver disease to it being inflamed? Either way, alcohol is not even that good to be drinking it on a regular basis.
