Kirsten Dunst Says Marijuana is Great in Moderation (She Got Dumped)

Kirsten Dunst believes the world would be a “better place” if more people
smoked marijuana.

The ‘Spider-Man’ actress has admitted she enjoys using cannabis and has
branded America’s strict marijuana laws as “ridiculous”.

Kirsten told Britain’s Live magazine: "I drink moderately, I've tried drugs.
I do like weed. I have a different outlook on marijuana than America does.

"I've never been a major smoker, but I think America's view on weed is
ridiculous. I mean - are you kidding me? If everyone smoked weed, the world
would be a better place.”

The actress insists she would never overindulge in drug taking, but says
smoking marijuana can be inspirational.

She said: "I'm not talking about being stoned all day, though. I think if
it's not used properly, it can hamper your creativity and close you up
inside.

"My best friend Sasha's dad was Carl Sagan, the astronomer. He was the
biggest pot smoker in the world and he was a genius."

Meanwhile, Kirsten’s romance with British rocker Johnny Borrell is
reportedly over, after the Razorlight frontman decided to go return to his
ex-lover.

A source told Britain’s News of the World newspaper: “Johnny and Kirsten had
a very passionate romance. They were completely blown away by each other at
first. They spent all their time together. But now Johnny has realised she's
not the one for him. He dumped her at the weekend and has gone back to his
old girlfriend.”

Generally I cannot stand this girl and think most of the things she says either make no sense at all or are stupid/conceited/annoying… So it rather pains me to say I agree with Kiki on this one - America needs to relax their views vis-à-vis marijuana, which CAN be a wonderfully relaxing and fun experience. And yes, a lot of extraordinary and brilliant individuals smoke pot… So yes, Kiki, for once, we can agree on something!

I totally agree..My memory is as sharp as a tack, I smoke pot every day, for the last 30 years, only after work, and it relaxes me like nothing else…My memory is as sharp as a tack, Oh I said that already, can’t wait till work is done…......Party On…......

I can’t believe homegirl doesn’t have some meat on her bones from chronic-smoking munchies.

I agree too! I wish more politicians thought this way.

i agree too! Put men in a bar, make them drink a lot of alcool and at the end they will probably fight…. put the same men(or women) in a bar, make them smoke pot all night and at the end they will be relax, they will laugh, they will be hungry and finally go to sleep!

I actually hate pot.  I think it smells and tastes awful and results only in wasted time and missing food, but I still think it should be legalized.

ShootingStar

I would smoke pot all the time too if I had to look in the mirror everyday at that face. The world would be one fucked up, stoned out, hell hole if everyone smoked pot. Nothing would get done, everyone’s priorities would be shit out of whack, people would be driving while stoned. Alcohol is a lot less addictive and pleasurable than pot. People would constantly be STONED. The world would die out. Sure Kristen, now that you had a little fling with a British rocker, you think you’re a Beatle. Grow up, girl!

I’m still trying to figure out who the loser is in that breakup. She needs to grow up and he’s just a dirtbag.

Nikisha

ShootingStar, you are wrong. Clearly you know nothing about pot or alcohol. It is a proven fact that alcohol is highly physically and mentally addictive while pot can only be mentally addictive. There are way more alcoholics in this world than people addicted to pot.
And actually, if you smoke it regulary it doesn’t have that strong “stoned” effect and you can actually get things done while you’re “high”.

I support Nikisha in his/her statements. Besides, ShootingStar, there IS a BIG difference between smoking a little pot to unwind at the end of the day or on a lazy Sunday afternoon and getting stoned… so don’t be such a Cassandra. We’re not saying “everyone must get stoned” to make the world a better place. We’re saying people should be more tolerant and understanding, more relaxed in their views regarding weed. This is not a black or white issue.

AgentHollywood

I don’t know about pot or alcohol since both are disgusting. But from just observation you have people going to rehab for drugs and alcohol but not pot. I remember some family members who smoked it when i was little but i wasn’t stupid because i remember the horrible strong smell that came from the bedroom, i never did like the smell of it. And maybe that’s why kirsten always looks happy and have positive views on life, lol.

RavenM

Whatever gets people off. I’m not against people smoking pot as long as they don’t do it around me. That shit reeks and makes me gag.

oooh la la

I guess she is able to bounce off all the slams about her looks and teeth because she is high and happy.  She’ll probably be arrested pretty soon for something.

I’m with Kristen on this one!!! Theres nothing wrong with burning a spliff @ the end of the day to unwind & relax!!!! =)

sweetmisses121

I smoke weed only once when I was 18 & then decided that it was not for me. I knew this fling was not going to last

I agree with most of you…I’d rather smoke one anyday, if given the choice, than drink alcohol.  I’m a little older than most of you and my mind and memory is sharper than the majority of people I know…and I’ve lit up a couple in my day, to say the least.

The laws in this country need to be revised and changed for good when it comes to marijuana possession and usage -  both personally and in the medical aspect.  If it works overseas, why can’t it be decriminalized here in the States?

I’m sure many people would be freaked out to know the people around them each day that smoke pot on a daily basis.  It’s pretty interesting really.

ShootingStar

My point is that pot is ILLEGAL. If it were legal, then hordes of people would be going nuts smoking the stuff. They’ve limited their intake or have given it up completely for fear of being caught. Imagine if it was legal. People already are irresponsible enough with alcohol, that’s why I said alcohol isn’t as pleasurable as pot, so people will be doing their precious pot any chance they get. Don’t tell me you’re only going to do it on a Sunday afternoon. What bullshit! You must be high already.

♥lostinthestars♥

i like this story. no one has ever died from smoking pot.

i agree with vtgal 100%

Well, look at Holland - pot is LEGAL there and people do it at home in the evenings to relax and the Dutch are very responsible, civilised people. And in spite of the fact of always having a huge stash at home, I never do it more than three times a week - like most of the people I know. And it’s not the fear of getting caught (who’s gonna arrest me when I use at home?) - it’s just that I don’t want to do it all that often. It’s like eating good chocolate cake - of the good things, a little can go a long way!

vtgal

Thank you lostinthestars and kasume.  I wasn’t advocating that everyone start smoking pot or doing it every minute of the day.  I was just stating the facts on the idiotic marijuana laws in this country and the people that backlog this county’s court systems up with the prosecution of everyday people over their personal use of marijuana, whether it be for their own use or for relief of their cancer treatments.
I was just stating my point of view ShootingStar and NO, I wasn’t high while writing that.

vtgal

* meant to say country, not county*

Because I Say So

lostinthestars, i wish I could agree with you on that. But I know multiple people who have died from smoking pot. Different occasions, but all of them were out, getting high or whatever, and they all drove, then they all crashed, from being under the influence, they all died, some killed other innocent people. It’s not as safe as you think it is.

The trouble with pot is that whole factor of after using it for a while, you build up a tolerance so you don’t feel the high as much. So people turn to other drugs, worse drugs, to try and feel that high again, then an addiction grows and that is what sends people to rehab. Pot is illegal for a reason, it impairs your thoughts making it very dangerous while under the influence. I’m not going to argue with anyone who says, “well alcohol does the same thing”, and you’re right, it does, I would do anything for Alcohol to be illegal, then maybe the countless people who have died from driving while drunk, or alcohol poisoning, etc.. would still be alive today. But that will never happen. So I’ll have to deal and just be thankful that pot is illegal.

Please don’t drink and drive, and please don’t get stoned and drive. Be smart. I’m serious.

RIP L.H. age 16..hit by a drunk driver.
RIP D.B. age 18..in a car crashed by a driver that was high.

..they are only 2 of the countless victims.

I agree that America has strict laws concerning weed. I also agree with what because i sid so said. Weed is a dangerous drug. If anything, we should allow medical use of it. I just dont want someone going to jail for life because of weed!

Because I Say So

I agree with that also, I could see allowing it for medical purposes for people who are suffering with cancer or tourettes or something like that cause it helps ease their pain when their prescribed meds don’t always work. Good point Ms.Sleepy!

I’m sorry but I don’t see any problem with weed, I really don’t think weed alone can make you that impaired, I feel for anyone who has ever been hurt or killed but I’d bet there was alcohol involved..I’m no expert, 30+ years is it for me..The ONLY reason alcohol is legal is for the taxes, and it kills more people every day.. As long as weed is illegal, I say alcohol should be also..Until then don’t be stupid, just party at home…............
