Drew Barrymore has warned Lindsay Lohan not to follow in her troubled footsteps.

The 'Music and Lyrics' actress was a child star in 'E.T.' and entered rehab at 13 for drink and drug addiction - and is worried Lindsay will end up the same way, just older.

Drew said in an interview with Harper's Bazaar magazine: "I know Lindsay, and I like her very much. You just have to be as graceful as you can.

"You know, you flub, you flub. And that's life. I think - do what you want, but just be professional."

Lindsay, 20, entered rehab last month to be treated for alcohol addiction after she collapsed following an all night drinking binge at the Golden Globes.

Since leaving rehab Lindsay has continued to go out partying in Los Angeles.

Lindsay leaves a private party at Winston's Bar on Saturday.

She’s so an E! True Hollywood Story.  Drew Barrymore is one of the few lucky ones.

If she doesn’t want her to follow in her footsteps she should tell 90% of hollywood the same thing. I don’t see her doing anything wrong in this picture but the party was at a bar? Temptation much?

seems strange that she attend AA and go to parties soon there after.  I would think the alcohol would be tempting.

Oh god…I am so sick of people saying she is out partying “so soon”.  She could be going out and not partaking in the drinking part.  Come on…you don’t just stop living if you are an addict.

I get the whole “too soon” thing but really.  She lives in Hollywood.  It is not all that uncommon to go places like clubs and bars after you have gone through rehab.

I am not defending her I just think that people have a skewed view on what people that have gone through rehab should and should not do. I am only talking from experience with knowing people who have gone through it and what they do.  Most kept on coming out with us…they just did it sober (I think I’ve said this elsewhere).

Does everyone think she should stay in a hole in the ground until she has to do a movie or something and come out once a year like a freakin groundhog?  Just my two cents.

Yeah I completely agree shakezula. I also have had an up-close experience with an addict who entered rehab. Everyday is a struggle. And it is an unfair expectation to just assume that they should spend the rest of their life in some plastic bubble to avoid temptation. The hardest part is trying to live life like everyone else but be constantly haunted by your addiction. I commend her for going on with her life. Although I don’t think she made the best choices during her rehab experience, I do pray, for her sake, that she makes better choices now that she is fully aware of her problem when out in her usual party scene.

Nicely said dales06.  She didn’t make smart choices when she was going through rehab but that could stem from the fact she was also doing a movie. The hard part for her starts now that she is out. I also hope she makes better choices as a sober person.
