Lindsay Lohan wants to play Princess Diana in a movie about the late royal's
life.

The 'Mean Girls' star - whose mother Dina recently compared her to the late
princess because she is so harassed by the paparazzi - is a big fan of Diana
and would love to portray her in a movie.

Lindsay told In Touch Weekly magazine: "It would be fantastic to play her.
She gave back a lot and was such an amazing woman."

The 20-year-old actress - who left rehab last month after being treated for
alcoholism - is also planning to follow in the princess' footsteps by doing
some charity work.

She said: "I'm going to Japan soon with my friend Charlotte Ronson, who's a
designer, and I'm researching some charity work that I can do and visit some
orphanages."

it would be a shame to choose Lindsay to play Diana! Even if Lindsay would play a character.

Casting Hohan to play Lady Di is a desecration to her memory. Is she trying to say that the paps follow her too much that she will end up like Princess Di? Get a life. well if Lindsey did get to play Diana she would have to ACTUALLY act as Lohan her self neither gives anything back to anyone (except headaches to us readers) and isn’t amazing at all…except for looking 45 at only 20 yo.

what a conceited, pompous bitch…where does she get off assuming she has what it takes to play Diana…If her only basis for considering herself qualified to play Diana is the paparazzi’s relentless pursuit then Paris Hilton and her entourage of attention whores might as well audition for the part…Joe Francis can come on board as the director…Tara Reid will play Queen Elizabeth…it will truly be the most poignant depiction of Diana’s life..sheesh..
