You know it's a good thing when you have Madonna in your corner, especially if a famous designer like Karl Lagerfeld calls someone you dig "a little too fat." Madge told The Sun: "That's horrible. That's ridiculous, that's just the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard... Adele's a great talent and how much she weighs has nothing to do with it." Last month Karl made the criticisms, causing Adele to respond. The 23-year-old revealed: "I've never wanted to look like models on the cover of magazines. I represent the majority of women and I'm very proud of that." Karl tried to backpedal by kissing butt. He told the Metro New York newspaper: "I’d like to say to Adele that I am your biggest admirer. Sometimes when you take a sentence out of the article it changes the meaning of the thought. Adele is my favorite singer and I am a great admirer of her."

Madonna had this advice for the singer: "The thing for Adele to remember is at the end of the day, whether you rise or fall, it has so much to do with how you sustain yourself and keep your integrity and inner strength." (Daily Mail)
