How lame. This dried up old lady wants us to think by her hanging from a cross it’s going to get people to help Africa? LMAO! She could have come up with something better.

P.S. I’m so sick of these damn people that think only Africa has suffering kids. We have them in the U.S. that suffer every day and need donations to help them and the elderly and for some reason the celebs want to give their money to people who have more than likely never heard of them and are already getting help from the goverment. Pisses me off. They could split it.

So, hanging on a cross that most likely cost millions to make, for an audience that is paying out hundreds of dollars for tickets to see her do this, is going to help those that are starving in Africa?
Totally absurd.

Idiot. Pinned to a cross = media attention. Period.
Yeah, I really believe she gives a sh*t about starving children in Africa. I don’t see anything in the pics of the performance saying anything at ALL about saving children. Looks like a “shock factor” performance to me. PUBLICITY! And the fact that she needed to EXPLAIN the performance is even moreso leaning towards the shock factor performance in my eyes. Whatever. I think wearing a t-shirt saying “Help save the children” would’ve had a better effect and cost a hell of a lot less.
How much did she donate to the children? WTF does a bondage scene have to do with starving kids?
GRRRRR.

yeh, when i see her on the cross, or kissing a black jesus, or dancing in front of burning crosses i think, “gee, wonder how those starving kids in africa are doing.”
whatever, she’s doing it be to shocking and provacative. she can change her look and hair and clothes every 5 years until she’s 80, but her M.O. is still the same “shock them and sell records.”
BITCH PLEASE!

Hey pache, I’m glad they’re wanting to give it to overseas children. There’s ten times the starving children overseas. At least here in America most ‘orphans’ are taken care of by the system. In those other countries, those kids would most likely be forgotten and die alone. So I hate it when people talk about how they need to adopt and help more American kids. They’ve already got plenty of help, jeez.
And on that note, Madonna isn’t the brightest crayon in the box now is she? I don’t understand how her publicity and Africa relate, but that’s her for you.

Come on people. Quit taking this so seriously. She is a performer and she has always been about controversy. If you don’t like it you don’t have to watch it.

I am with ya pache. What about all the little kids in America starving and needing help? You always HEAR about it when they help other countries, as well!!! It is all for the attention the celebrities get. They don’t do a f*cking thing without saying “hey look at me, I am doing this for charity!!!” It is nice that they do it, don’t get me wrong, but their hearts are not in it. Let’s see a benefit concert for the needy, homeless and starving in our country.

Oh please, spare me. I’m so sick of this washed up granny in spandex. She needs to retire and spare us from her blasphemous crap.
I also agree that if she wants to focus her efforts on helping starving children, she needs to turn her attention to the US first.

I would have more respect for her if she wouldn’t kept her mouth shut rather than make up this bullshit.
I highly doubt if Jesus “were alive today” he would gyrate half naked on stage with a bunch of sweaty men to get his point across.
I would bet money that if a different perfomer got on stage did the same thing with religious references to Kaballah, her granny panties would be the first to get in a bunch.

Here’s an idea. Why not give the women in Africa and other countries birth control so they’ll stop having so many children born with AIDS and other diseases. Seems a little too easy I guess. And yes, they should take care of the kids in the U.S. that are starving, dying, and homeless since it’s the U.S. that has made the celebrities so popular and rich in the first place. We have just as many kids with medical conditions here that go without treatment as Africa does but I guess it’s a bigger tax write off if they give to other countries or something. And no Robibuni, the U.S. kids do not get all the help they need even though so many women chose to go on welfare which in turn hits the taxpayers like myself in the pocketbook and pisses me off, so I think donations to programs to get their asses off welfare in the U.S. would be worthwild.

You know Tawny, it’s people like you that think just because they work everyday, they have the right to chastise everyone. It would be easy to just say “give them all birth control” wouldn’t it. We have quite a few people in the good US of A that are suffering with AIDS and HIV as well, and we are considered an educated people I work everyday, and pay taxes, but it does not piss me off that my taxes are helping low income people through the means of Welfare. That what it is there for. I hope you never get knocked off your soap and find yourself in dire straits requiring any type of help.

One self absorbed old Hag screeching like a barn owl while getting crucified, the point must be subliminal.

Shoppergirl your entire paragraph made no sense at all. If you want to pay taxes to take care of people who don’t wanna work, that’s up to you and if I don’t enjoy it, that’s up to me.

My paragraph makes no sense?? What makes you think that people on welfare don’t want to work?? What an ignorant thing to say. I’m sure that there a few like that, but I guarantee you they are the minority. Again, maybe they are hurting financially and just need a little help. It is typically temporary fix. You sound a little bitter to me.

it’d be nice if some of these stars started focusing on global warming. soon enough, we could all be starving.

Shoppergirl I agree with you 100%. When I was a kid and my dad left a wife and 4 kids, we had to move across the country and in with relatives while my mom searched day after day for many months to find a job to support me and my siblings so we had to use the system for a few months to get by. Yes you do have people that’ll milk it for what they can but throwing everyone into the mix is ignorant and just plain stupid.

I agree to a point, I do think that the majority of people on welfare are lazy and don’t want to work but there are the chosen few who are maybe going through a divorce and are having a hard time and hopfully it’s short-term, and I also agree that if you live in the US we should take care of our own before taking care of any other country.

I suggest reading “Nickel and Dimed: On Not getting by in America” by Barbara Ehrenreich. We in America are definitely not taking care of our people, that goes for those on welfare and those who are trying to get off it or have been forced off it.

Madonna can go to hell with the cross and the people who criticize welfare are probably the ones who don’t know what it’s like to struggle and need the system. Tax dollars pay for other negative things out there that we probably don’t even know about.

I miss the old Madonna of the 80’s, she was pretty fun. However, I’m getting fucking bored with all the ways she keeps “reinventing” herself. I’d like to see her retire for a few years and maybe come up with something fresh.
