Madonna's in great shape, but those hands!
Madonna has allegedly demanded eight full-length mirrors and a skipping rope
backstage for London's Live Earth concert.
The 48-year-old singer, who is headlining the spectacular show at the new
Wembley Stadium on Saturday (07.07.07), is said to have presented organisers
with a bizarre list of requirements.
A source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "She has asked for 12 dozen
boxes of strawberries, eight full-length mirrors, a skipping rope, Yorkshire
Tea, organic green tea and vanilla room spray."
Madonna is reportedly not the only demanding star taking part in the musical
extravaganza - one of a series of concerts across the world organized by
former US Vice President Al Gore to highlight the dangers of global warming.
The insider added: "You have got people like Madonna, Red Hot Chili Peppers,
Snow Patrol and Keane all wanting to make sure they get noticed. Let's just
say the organisers have been left frazzled trying to make all the acts feel
like they are the main attraction."
Other acts confirmed to perform include the Beastie Boys, Metallica, Duran
Duran, Foo Fighters and David Gray. Genesis, fronted by Phil Collins, will
kick off proceedings
The 24-hour Live Earth concert series will begin in Sydney on Saturday and
continue with shows in Tokyo, Shanghai, Johannesburg, London, Hamburg and
Istanbul, before concluding in New York.

my hands tend to get all veiny when I go swimming or whatever…so I consider veiny hands a sign of hard work pumping through them..not aging…

What’s with the demands from these people, they get paid enough as it is. And my hands and arms get veiny as well when i’m hot or doing something active. Same goes for my feet.

Between her and Marilyn Manson, I don’t know whose middle-aged shock-valued antics have gotten worse.
And her demands? Probably all she’s really asking for is Geritol, Absorbine Jr and Metamucil.

I agree with the others, the veins tend to pop out when you are doing things. She’s probably a fast walker and she’s in such great shape her blood pumps well. I’ll be when she is relaxing her hands don’t look as veiny.
But even if they do, does it matter ? Can we women be allowed to show ANY signs of aging ????? She looks absolutely awesome for 48, yes she’s had work done but it’s really good and subtle work, and you know she makes a huge effort to stay in shape and no amount of surgery can make a body look that good.
I’m sick of expecting women in their 40’s to look like they are in their 20’s !! We allow men to get wrinkles and gray hair ! Veiny hands too ! We say they look “distinguished”.
