Madonna has written to Mel Gibson to offer advice.

The ‘Hung Up’ singer is furious with the ‘Lethal Weapon’ actor for making
anti-Semitic remarks but has decided to pen a four-page letter to see if she
can help.

A source said: “Madonna thought Mel was out of order but also in a low
place, so she has written to him to try and help him.”

Gibson, 50, was formally charged on August 2 with drunk driving and having
an open bottle of tequila in his car.

It was revealed last week that a recording of the comments he made to police
in Malibu would not be released.

He is believed to have said: “The Jews are responsible for all the wars in
the world.”



Meanwhile, Madonna’s husband Guy Ritchie fears the singer could be kidnapped
by religious fanatics on her Confessions tour.

Madonna is a devout follower of mystical faith Kabbalah and Guy fears her
faith could put her in danger.

A source is quoted by Britain’s People newspaper as saying: “Kabbalah is a
form of Jewish mysticism. She could be a target for a protest about Israel
bombing Lebanon. Guy wants more bodyguards for her.”

Actually, we should thank God that there are still artists like Madonna out there. How many mainstream pop singers do you know that would say anything to rock the boat, huh? And not just lame gestures like Pink who ‘rebels’ against Paris Hilton and clique, because it’s uber-easy to hate Paris, ‘coz hell, everybody does.

How many mainstream artists would go as far as Madonna to piss off the churches? And there is a strong need for established religion to be reminded that they are not above criticism because the leaders behind it are all about power and not spirituality at all. And note that there is a world of difference between what Madonna does in her concerts and Mel Gibson spewing hatred against Jews. Madonna’s concert montages invite discussion and re-interpretation which is what artists should strive for in their work, not just to rake in the millions of dollars. If she just wanted to sell more records, she could have just done that much more easily by making the same dance records and putting on a sweet and media-friendly image. Look at how the tame, uncontroversial public persona allows talentless twerps like Clay Aiken to still sell albums. Madonna could have stood back and done the same; it would have meant less work, more money, and less hate being thrown at her by idiots.

Meanwhile, Mel’s rants sounds like he just wants to point and shoot guns. He made hateful racist statements, and even he knows it and is now trying to weasel back into public approval. Shakira in her Mongoose tour talked about Iraq war and did a very emotional act that really moved me. Mel Gibson has since apologized for his behavior repeatedly.  The powers that be in Hollywood can choose to boycott his work in the future, but it’s not going to silence his work.  When he made “The Passion Of The Christ,”  no one supported him financially.  He put up 25 million of his own money and the movie has grossed over 300 million dollars at the box office.  This movie is #10 for biggest box office sales. 

There is always two sides to every story and people need to understand the situation first, before “people in glass houses,” aimlessly and carelessly, start throwing rocks.

Mel’s had a drinking problem for years and years. It’s unfuckingbelievable that with his millions of dollars and the many years he’s had that he still can’t fix his fucking problem. Sure, addiction is hard to beat, but Mel shouldn’t go running around promoting what a great Catholic he is when he is drunkard and a bigot. And he can’t just blame the alcohol for his racist remarks. He made anti-Semite remarks in interviews back in the 1990s, as well as homophobic ones too. If you look up Mel’s father, Hutton Gibson, you’ll will also note that his dad is an even more upfront anti-Semite. As a Christian, I’m angry that people like the Gibsons give Christianity a bad name.

PS. “The Passion” sucked. It was like porn with violence instead of sex. And Mel tried to campaign to bring Catholic Mass being spoken in Latin again which is hella stupid because Latin was dropped from Catholic mass so it can be understood by common people and make them want to be closer and understand God instead of turning up to church every Sunday and go through the ritual with little understanding or feeling.
