Marilyn Manson says new love Evan Rachel Wood is his soulmate.

The goth rocker, who split with wife Dita Von Teese late last year, says the young actress is his perfect partner.

The 38-year-old told France's Le Parisien newspaper: "I've found my double, my twin, with my new girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood.



"She's l9 and certainly that's very young, but that's not a problem for me. She likes the same things as me. She understands I like to get up when night falls and go to sleep at dawn."

Manson, who is promoting his sixth album 'Eat Me, Drink Me', says his difficult break-up was his inspiration for the record.



He explained: "Our relationship ended at Halloween. I was completely destroyed psychologically. I'd rented a house and begun working on this disc, which sort of tells everything that happened to me during the past year."

Manson says the marriage failed because he didn't want to settle down and become "more adult".

He explained: "I was married to someone who wanted me to change. Become more adult, more responsible. I began not to like myself, not like what I do. I lost my identity. Everything began collapsing around me. The record allowed me to put an end to that. Dita left at Christmas while I was recording."

Manson - real name Brian Warner - and burlesque star Dita began dating in 2001, before marrying in December 2005.

It has been reported the rocker's relationship with Evan was a factor in Dita's decision to file for divorce last December.

Manson met Evan after casting her in his new horror movie 'Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll'.

I thought at 38 you are past an adult but some people just never grow up, i wonder if she wanted kids.

evan rachel wood actually looks really good in that pic.  usually i find her so-so.  she’ll tire of manson once she grows up abit herself.

First he had to rebel against his preacher dad with satanism, then against mainstream society with his shock value, now against his wife because she wanted him to mature.  The common denominator in all of Manson’s dysfunction is HIMSELF.  Society’s gotten to the point now where we’ve seen it all anyway, Marilyn, so you’ll always be rebelling to make an identity different from the little geek you’ve always been.

It’s just a matter of time before his young girlfriend reaches the age where SHE, too, will want to settle down, get married and be an adult. Guess he’ll have to find a new ‘soul mate’ then. Another FREAK of nature!!!!

See my problem is, I like Dita and I like Rachel as well. They’re both beautiful women. But I was genuinely disappointed when I heard Manson and Dita were breaking up. They LOOKED right for each other.

Unfortunately, I think Manson is probably going through a midlife crisis and Dita couldn’t take it any longer. She obviously wanted children, a normal marriage, etc. He’s too wrapped up in his own musical world and I think still sees himself as a 25 year old goth kid. Hence he’s into Rachel.

Anyone else think the age difference between them is weird? She is not even out of her teens yet and she is dating a man damn near 40, not only that, but he worships Satan? I don’t know about this one

Another “alleged” member of the Church of Satan was Jayne Mansfield, former Hollywood hottie, and mother of Mariska Hargitay (spelling?), the lady on Law and Order SVU.  Jayne died in a car accident, there are disputed reports that she was beheaded.  She was the one who bought the mansion and had it painted pink, became known as the Pink Palace.  Just a lil bit o trivia you didn’t ask for, LOL.  Now who says we can’t actually learn something from those cheesy VH1 shows.

I like Marilyn and Dita, and I respect Evan Rachel as an actress. I met Marilyn at a concert and he was nice and respectful of me. I worship Dita, as everyone knows. I was sad that their marriage broke up because he and Dita seemed good for each other—they were together 7 years, so obviously there was good stuff there. But if he really didn’t want to settle down, he shouldn’t have gotten married and he shouldn’t have been with someone as long as 7 years.

A 38 year old who doesn’t want to grow up?  That makes my stomach churn.  For some reason, Manson doesn’t think the rules of society apply to him.  His new girlfriend will want to grow up eventually.  Then, he’ll be 50 looking for a new teenie bopper.  Gross.

I hope Dita finds some hot new guy ASAP.

Evan i just young enough to be stupid enough to do whatever he says. He probably makes her do all kinds of weird shit that Dita (who is a burlesque entertainer and not a goth chick) didn’t want to do.
