The 'Thriller' singer is in New York to be photographed for the cover of
Italian Vogue magazine and spent hours having his hair styled to perfection.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: "Jackson has been holed up in a
fancy Midtown hotel since Thursday afternoon with an enormous
entourage.

"Since he arrived he has only left once, at 5am, to take part in the 10-hour
shoot for Italian Vogue.

"Before he left he spent three hours in the hairdressers chair getting his
hair done. That's longer than any supermodel took getting their hair done
for New York Fashion Week."

Jackson has long been rumored to wear a wig, with numerous photographs
showing what appears to be a weave on his hairline.

The eccentric star famously burnt his hair after his locks accidentally
caught fire while he was filming a Pepsi advert in 1984.

Jackson is believed to be appearing in a sprawling spread in the fashion
bible, however, it is yet to be confirmed by Vogue.

His face is freakish, but in this picture, his hair does look quite nice (albeit feminine).  Wish my hair was as soft, silky and shiny.

If it’s a wig you don’t style it on your head, so it must be a weave but he probably still has to relax the roots he has left(what didn’t get burned) which would account for the three hours. There isn’t a black woman with relaxed hair alive that has not spent 3 hours at the hair salon.

Not this black woman.  I’ve better things to do with my time.  The few times I went, 4 at most, it was fairly quick but that was years ago.  Anyway with one hairstylist why would it take so long?  It takes 20 to put it in and washes out in 20 that’s less than an hour!  But yeah, I second a lot of the commenters - ewwww!

3 hours. Okay, so is this news? Like someone already said, most black women spend 3 hours at the salon weekly to get the same results. So fucking what? That’s how long it takes. All the bullimic models at fashion week have a different texture of hair, it takes less time. I guess everyone here just learning something new. Appearance is important to the avergae person, so you do what you can to look presentable. We all have better things to do with our time, but like I said, that’s how long it takes. So you deal.
