Singer Mick Jagger forgot the words to classic Rolling Stones song 'Ruby
Tuesday' during a concert last week.
The 63-year-old had been performing with his bandmates in Glasgow, Scotland,
when he couldn't remember the lyrics to the hit track.

However, quick-thinking Mick covered up his memory loss by singing the same
verse twice.
Yesterday (08.30.06) it was revealed that Mick has started using an autocue
on stage because he is paranoid about forgetting his lyrics.
A source said: "Mick's not getting any younger and he doesn't want to slip
up. He's generally running all over the stage but if he gets a memory blank
he can get back to the screen quickly.
"He rarely needs it but it's a back-up. It would be pretty embarrassing to
forget the words to a song like 'Satisfaction' when you've been singing it
for 40 years."
Meanwhile, Mick's spokesman has denied reports he has an oxygen tank
backstage to help him through his gruelling live shows.
He said: "It's simply not true that Mick uses oxygen as there is none
available. He maintains astonishing levels of fitness and the only help he
needs during live performances is plenty of water to keep him hydrated."
Good God that’s an ugly picture of him. Yikes!!

I guess he doesn’t want the fans who pay a lot to see the concerts to feel ripped off by hearing incomplete or incorrect lyrics. Most people are very familiar with most RS songs so it would be easy to pick up on a mistake. Doesn’t bother me that he wants to use the autocue.
Says more for him as a professional performer than say, Ashlee Simpson ??

Right on Ms Sleepy and ooh la la!!!!!!!!
Stones kick ass! I collect vinyl and just found an UNtouched copy of Sticky Fingers. He’s a wonderful writer and performer. After 40 years he’s allowed to slip up.

I prefer an autocue over lipsyncing or “backing track “(backing track my ass…) Atleast it’s just a prompter and not a completely fake performance. I’m sure I’ll forget crap when I’m 63. Damn, I’m 26 and I forget stuff. No biggie Mick!
That isn’t the greatest picture of him though, is it….

I think the Rolling Stones need to retire. You know you are up there when you need an oxygen tank to get you through a performance

Have ALL their original albums starting with the first and I hardly believe Mick needs an oxygen tank. He doesn’t even smoke ciggies for cripes sakes.
No one beats the Stones for longevity. Love them!

Love the Stones, the first records I bought in junior high were theirs!
MiaAndrea, my BF bought the Sticky Fingers LP when it first came out (he’s a lot older than me…). You’d probably geek over his vinyl collection, I know I was when we moved and I unpacked it.
