Former heavyweight boxing champ Mike Tyson was arrested for driving under the influence and possession of cocaine in Scottsdale, Arizona early Friday morning.
Cops say they stopped Iron Mike after his car almost crashed into a sheriff's vehicle while leaving a bar around 1:45 a.m. The arresting officer was part of a special holiday DUI task force.
Police say Tyson was coopertive and acted like a gentleman.
Tyson was booked at a Maricopa County sheriff's jail, and is expected to have an initial appearance before a judge later today to determine bail.
This isn't Tyson's first brush in the law in Arizona. In 2004, the embattled boxer was arrested and charged with suspicion of criminal damage after cops say he left a nightclub and jumped on the hood of a stranger's car, causing about $1400 in damage.

I kinda feel bad for Mike. He had a shitty childhood and I bet there’s no one in his life that loves him. I think he must be really lonely. The worste thing that ever happened to him was Robin Givens.

Surprise, surprise. Mike’s been arrested again. Marvin’s got a point though. Mike Tyson has been used since he was a kid with a boxing talent. Still there comes a point in your life where you should know the difference between right and wrong. Unfortunately, Mike hasn’t fully discovered that yet.

The guy can’t trust anybody. That has to be a very lonely life. I’m not excusing his behavior. Biting off Evander Holyfields ear was some pretty sick stuff.

I remember so vividly when he was on top of the world. We used to all get together to watch him kick some @ss!! It was unreal what a phenomenal fighter he was. I feel for him, too. His life has been full of hard knocks, but it still doesn’t excuse his erratic behavior. I think getting behind the wheel of a vehicle while intoxicated is just unexcusable. Maybe he will look at this as a wake up call and try to turn his life around…......Stranger things have happened….

On the upside, with the right plea, he can escape his creditors for 3 to 5 years.
