Nicole Richie and fiancé Joel Madden are having a baby boy.
'The Simple Life' star visited Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on
July 25 to have an ultrasound scan which reportedly revealed the sex.
A source told In Touch Weekly magazine: "Nicole wanted a girl, but she's
happy she's having a boy.
"She's having fun planning for the baby - shopping, picking out names and
designing a nursery."
The 25-year-old is four months pregnant and the baby is due in December.
Nicole - known for her tiny size zero figure - is craving sushi and pizza.
She has revealed she wants a "huge wedding" with boyfriend Good Charlotte
frontman Joel and would like a big family too.
Nicole said her dream family would include "three girls and twin boys".
The star, who was adopted by singer Lionel Richie, has also considered
opening her home to an unwanted child, saying: "Definitely - I'm adopted."
Nicole was recently sentenced to four days in jail after pleading guilty to
DUI (driving under the influence).

Nicole said she found out she was pregnant with a home pregnancy kit.
"I didn't believe it," she said. "It was my best friend and I, and we were at her house. And she was like, 'You're definitely pregnant.'"
If she is only 4 mos, how do they know if they are having a boy? I have never been pregnant before, but aint that a bit too early? I know Hilary Duff is pissed, to have your much older boyfriend dump you & then gets another girl pregnant, damn.

Sweetmisses—4 months is typically when they figure out the sex.
I just hope she gets healthy during the pregnancy so that the baby is alright.
