Nicole Richie is terrified of going to jail like best friend Paris Hilton.

'The Simple Life' star is facing a possible jail sentence after she was
arrested for DUI (driving under the influence) last December.

Nicole told US chat show host David Letterman:

"I'm just keeping my fingers crossed, and of course, I'm scared also, but I'm willing to face whatever consequences come my way, and I take responsibility for what I've done."

The 25-year-old star pleaded not guilty at a preliminary hearing but the
police who arrested her claimed she told them she had taken the painkiller
Vicodin and smoked marijuana.

Nicole will be jailed if found guilty as she has a previous DUI conviction
in 2003 when she was found to be in possession of heroin.

When asked when she will know if she is heading for jail, Nicole said:
"Probably the end of this month."

Paris is currently serving the fourth day out of her minimum 23-day sentence for
driving with a suspended license.



If she serves any time it won't be for more than 72 hours.



She didn't look pregnant on the David Letterman show at all.



She shouldn't be scared of going to jail because like Paris she won't serve the time in jail.

This is sickening.  What’s she going to get - a slap on her bony wrist also???  I wish these guys lived in the real world, for like, just one day.

I bet her and parasite will just become roommates and then party their entire house arrest sentence together. She will not get jail time anyway. If she does all she has to do is cry depression and nervous breakdown and they will let her out OBVIOUSLY. What an example these morons are setting for our youth.
