O.J Simpson Could Face 35 Years in Prison

O.J. Simpson faces 35 years in prison for alleged armed robbery, and could be denied bail.

The former American football player was arrested on Sunday after he tried to forcefully reclaim his own sports memorabilia from official dealers at a hotel room in Las Vegas' Palace Station Hotel and Casino.

Clark County Judge Nancy Oesterle says it is unlikely Simpson will make bail because he is a "flight risk", and has "no ties to the local community".

Simpson will face Judge Ann Zimmerman tomorrow morning, where he will seek bail.

If the prosecutor's office hasn't filed charges against Simpson by then, he could be released from custody.

The Las Vegas District Attorney expects Simpson to be charged with seven felonies and one misdemeanor.

Upon his arrest, Simpson was booked on two counts of robbery with a deadly weapon, two of assault with a deadly weapon and one of conspiracy to commit burglary.

If convicted of the original charges, the 'Naked Gun' star could face up to 35 years in prison.

Simpson denies using any firearms, and says it was merely a "confrontation" to get the memorabilia, which included his Hall of Fame certificate, autographed sports collectibles, his first wedding video and a photograph of him with former FBI director J. Edgar Hoover.

Simpson's attorney Yale Galanter said the star is determined to clear his name.

He said: "We believe this is an extremely defensible case based on conflicting witness statements, flip-flopping by witnesses and witnesses making deals with the government to flip."

Two other men, Clarence Stewart and Walter Alexander, have also been questioned in conjunction with the incident.

Police are still looking for three other suspects.

femme-fatale

Is this only a huge publicity stunt for that stupid book If I Did It, or is this for real?

The police should hunt for the other suspects just as hard as OJ has hunted for Nicole’s and Ron’s “real killer”.

That would be such sweet justice if he goes away for 35yrs-
he is such an example of the unfortunate ‘loopholes’ we have in our legal system- both he and Michael Jackson- found innocent of criminal charges, yet guilty in civil court.
Atleast with Michael they actually changed the law after he was found innocent on criminal charges due to his case.
OJ was lucky he was a free man- he is a fool to put himself in the media again. How arrogant.

Tawny

I think he deserves prison but there’s something fishy about this whole thing.  Like the people showing up at the exact hotel he was at, somehow got his things, and he somehow knew the exact room they were in, and then they had a tape recorder already going so they could tape it?  Sounds odd.

That’s karma, baby.

Gambitgirl

ha ha throw his ass in jail forever!

and i honestly don’t think there’s a more pissed off man in America than Ron Goldman’s dad, whew! don’t get on his bad side f’real! get that money Goldman!

menoho

guess what? who cares!

Seems fair…...35 years for killing two people.  He got a few free years before he actually had to serve, but all is fair in love and war…........Does anyone else think it is odd that somehow OJ feels that he is justified in using guns to act out a “sting” to get what he thinks is his, back?  Oh and while I am at it, what self respecting woman would actually date OJ?  If I were your mother I would drag you by your hair back to reality.  Sorry, too many years of OJ anger pent up…..

I hope they lock this fucking N word up for life!  Just a low life mother fucker.  They should put an ankle braclet on him instead of Nowack.  However, it might interfere with his golf swing!
