Penelope Cruz had a panic attack onboard a Continental flight from Newark to Barcelona Thursday night. Cruz, who appeared to be traveling alone, was in first class and became agitated after the plane left the gate. After she spoke with the cockpit, the plane returned to the gate and Cruz deplaned. A fellow passenger told Huffington Post, "She was freaking out and refused to fly." In the process of Cruz deplaning, the flight removed all the bags, which then sat in the rain to the consternation of fellow passengers, so that the airline could locate her luggage.
The status on Continental's website of Flight 120 shows that the airplane returned to the gate in Newark before taking off almost two hours late, at 8:52 pm for a 7:10 pm departure.
Continental spokesman Dave Messing had no additional comment.
Cruz's publicist Carrie Gordon insisted to Huffington Post all is fine, saying, "There was no panic attack. The airline let her know there was going to be a 3 or 4 hour delay due to the storm. She had work so she figured she'd deplane and fly when the storm passed."

Probably saw some stretch marks on those melons of her’s - hence the reason she had a panic attack.

Wow, I’m going to write to Continental and tell them that I am NEVER using their airline again because they are willing to inconvenience an entire planeload of people for one fussy Hollywood bimbo !

The more I think about this the more it pisses me off. Didn’t we just have recent episodes of people being forced to sit on planes on the tarnack for like 10 hours ??? I’m sure those people asked to get off ! In addition to my letter to Continental, I’m writing one to Cruz too. Freaking prima donna, and the airline let her get away with it.

what about all the other people who had ‘work’. and by work I mean WORK. Not being paid millions to play pretend. I will write a few nasty grams myself. good idea. BTW ms. cruz. if no one else gets to leave the plane because of discomfort or inconvenience or for any other reason. neither does your stupid funky looking ass.

Its outrageous that the airlines allowed her to get away with this. NEVER in a million years would “us average folk” have the oppertunity to “choose” to get off the plane. I agree with the person who is gonna write the airlines, i will also. These celebs that get special treatment is pathetic. We as Americans and consumers need to start holding these businesses accountable for their special treatment towards these famous people. Considering its the working class people who keep them in business and they treat us like sh*t.
