Rihanna and Chris Brown have secretly married.

Chris - who was arrested after allegedly attacking Rihanna last month - is
believed to have proposed to the 'Umbrella' singer during their emotional
reunion at P. Diddy's Miami mansion last weekend.

A source said: "They had a tearful face-to-face meeting at Diddy's, during
which an emotional Chris apologized, begged for forgiveness and proposed to
her on the spot.

"She was totally up front and confessed to him, 'I can't live without you.'"

After Rihanna accepted the 19-year-old star's proposal, the couple asked a
minister to marry them at Diddy's $14.5 million mansion on the exclusive
Star Island.

Earlier this week, it was revealed Rihanna's family were concerned about her
reconciliation with Chris.

However, the 21-year-old beauty has seemingly ignored her loved ones' advice
and is already planning a family with the 'Run It' singer.

The source added Star magazine: "All she's ever wanted was to
be with him forever. Rihanna is looking for the husband-and-two-kids deal
before she turns 25. She believes in fairy tales, and she wants to live hers
with Chris."

The couple are still hiding out together in Miami.

Chris' arraignment is set to take place in Los Angeles today (03.05.09).

He is alleged to have beaten and choked Rihanna until she was unconscious
after the pair got into an argument in his rented silver Lamborghini car on
February 8.

This is sick and wrong.

Rihanna is obviously extremely immature, even for her age, if she actually went and married that dickhead. She needs therapy and a restraining order.

It is a WELL ESTABLISHED fact that in physically abusive relationships, typically in the beginning of the violence, there is often a “honeymoon period” following a battering in which the abuser apologizes to the abused, showering them with apologies, gifts, and loving behavior in order to win their forgiveness and prevent them from leaving the relationship.

By heaping positive attention on the abused the abuster makes it seem like the abuse was a one-off event, not likely to recur again, that this positive persona they are now showing is their real one, confusing the abused into thinking “This is the real him, he could never hurt me like that again when he is this sweet. He does love me.” Then when he beats her again, she’s left clinging to the hope that once again he will apologize and be kind to her after the violence, like he was before. After a while there’s no longer “honeymoon period” after each battering as the abuser is now secure in the knowledge that his victim will not or can not leave him even if he treats her like shit 24/7 b/c he has played a masterful headgame on her. He feels he no longer has to apologize as he keeps her in the relationship through pure fear and dependency.

That’s why it takes the average battered woman SIX ATTEMPTS before she finally leaves her abuser. The psychological hold abusers have on their victims is often more devastating that the physical injuries.

Rihanna desperately needs help to get away from this fucking loser…and his asshole friends who are saying crap like “well, we don’t know the whole situation, don’t judge chris” are complicit in the culture of silence surrounding domestic violence. HE BEAT HER BLOODY AND SENSELESS, THAT’S ALL ANYONE NEEDS TO KNOW.

ok, vent over. as you can tell this sort of topic hit very close to home for me. my sister died last year from domestic violence.

oh…and by marrying his victim, Chris has insured that she cannot testify against him at any trial, due to spousal priviledge.

she’s been played. and he learned his tricks as a kid watching his dad beat his mother.

I was shocked when I first saw this story because most people assumed she would leave him, maybe stay (denial), but def not MARRY!!!!!

Gambitgirl this is a very sensitive issue and it only makes sense to care. I’m so so sorry to hear about your sister, nobody deserves this kind of abuse. everyone on this earth is human and nobody gave them any special right to put their hands on anyone else!

The closest that i came to “abuse” was during a break up with a guy that wasn’t good for me. We were in a parking lot at night to make things worse…alone only one car there. When i told him that it was over yet again, he shoved me really hard and I definitely would’ve fell if i didn’t have some sort of balance. At that moment everything went from relief to instant danger and anger on my part. Even if it wasn’t on the same level as what u see on tv, but i felt like a woman in a lifetime movie. I tried with all of my heart to chase and kick his ass but he was a fast runner. I just stopped, said you’re not worth it, got in my car, and drove away. I knew that he carried a gun in his car and that would’ve gone bad.

I pray that this story isn’t true because she is young and beautiful and don’t deserve this. I hope that she can find her strength and mind to be able to break away.

how bloody ridiculous. ive mentioned this before but i will say it again, because she is such an international icon and idol for so many girls she should be setting an example, even if its hard. by doing what she just did she’s consenting to this being normal. i lost my respect for chris about a month ago, and ive just lost my respect for her sorry ass.

at this very point in time i feel absolutely no sympathy for her, even though i probably should be but nope….checking… nope none at all.
