People can believe in the “myth” of jesus for free, and not have to give up money just to become a member of a church, etc. People can believe what they want to believe, but when you start shoving a faith down people’s throats or talking about it like it’s the new trend, people will criticize, just like you think that it is funny that people believe in jesus. You don’t have to be Christian to believe in Jesus, whether as a messiah, a prophet, or a man.  Goodness, Islam and Judaism both regard Jesus as a prophet, and several other religions revere him as a man of peace, including Buddhism and the Baha’i faith.  You cannot disprove his existance as a man, no matter how hard you try.

He cannot, in any way, be compared to Jesus, for while Jesus tried to promote unity, peace, and did not look down on poverty, Cruise promotes harming children and adults who are mentally ill, as well as slavery (when you have to sign a contract that says you’ll be a slave for 72 million years in order to go to “classes” to gain levels, that’s slavery), and classism.

I do wish they wouldn’t encourage this man in his idiocy. The comparison with Jesus is just absolute insane. I am not religious at all, I don’t subscribe to any religion in fact, but I do respect the notion that we should care about our fellow man. I believe that Jesus was a man born out of his time, but maybe that was the point, so that he could lead people who hadn’t advanced the way they should to a better way. It worked for some, but not for others. Tom Cruise is not a man born out of his time. His teachings come directly from a very bad science fiction penny dreadful author called L Ron Hubbard and have been souped up by a bunch of people who only have a use for him because he’s rich and famous. Christianity is the sole reason for the demise of western civilization. No other religion has caused more hate and fear-mongering among the people of the world. While you see love and peace at the heart of Christ, I see the dark ages of the middle ages and the burning of innocent women for their beliefs in herbal medicine during that time. People have been shaping the image of Jesus since the beginning… People are deletion creatures… They only see what they want to see, they don’t want to accept the cold hard facts that Jesus is story that has been shaped and reshaped. For example, “after 3 days he rose again” represents the death and rebirth of the “sun” at the Winter Solstice after idling for 3 days in the same position in the sky. Research it and you will stop fearing the myth of hell and finally be free! Or of course live in a repressed void.

You decry the existence of Jesus, yet do nothing to prove he did not exist; Yet centuries of research has proven that he indeed did, at the very least, as a man.

As for your solstice explanation, it isn’t a mystery that a lot of Christian holidays were modeled around pagan rituals and festivals.  Most Christians know that Jesus wasn’t born on December 25, just as most Christians know that he didn’t see the easter bunny on the day he is told to have risen from the dead.  We can blame the Catholic Church for that.

That being said, Jesus the MAN taught that humanity cannot be saved if all we do is bicker amongst ourselves, when instead we should love each other, respect each other, care for each other as we would want to be loved, respected, and cared for.  Your comment on “deletion creatures” could not have been proven more correct with your inability to see and accept THAT fact first and foremost because some deep seated ire you have against someone who himself did nothing to harm you or anyone you love.  Second, you, in your apparent need to blast Jesus and his very existence, failed to see that this particular story has nothing to do with whether or not Jesus truly existed.

I just watched a Biography about Jim Jones the other night and Cruise eerily reminds me of him.
