Tom Cruise has invited Victoria and David Beckham to meet baby Suri.

But the ‘Mission Impossible’ star and fiancée Katie Holmes have issued their
British friends with a list of instructions of how to behave around their
daughter.



A source told Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: “David and Victoria are
honoured that Tom and Katie have asked them along.

“However they were a little shocked by the list of rules they’ll have to
follow.

“Apparently they can’t take any photographic equipment, they’re banned from
touching Suri and they’re not allowed to do any baby-talk around her.

“It will be very difficult for Victoria, because she just loves babies and
is trying for a daughter with David at the moment.”



The ‘Top Gun’ star is a devout follower of Scientology which does not allow
cooing over babies as they believe it may effect their development.

Tom and Katie befriended the Beckhams at a football match last year. Former
Spice Girl Victoria – who has three sons with soccer star David – reportedly
gave Katie advice while she was pregnant.

So far Tom, 44, and Katie, 27, have kept Suri hidden from the public eye,
sparking various conspiracy theories surrounding the baby.

Friends of the ‘Top Gun’ star to claim they have seen his four-month-old
daughter include actresses Jada Pinkett Smith, Leah Remini and Cruise’s ex,
Penelope Cruz.

I see extensive therapy in that baby’s future.

baby talk is bad. thats why they babble instead of talk my parent never baby talked me so I talked like a regualr person at 6 months. my first words: “fuck you!” since my dad was trying to shove applesauce in my face and I hated applesauce and still do!

The “no touch” rule is no surprise.  TomKat wants to protect sweet Suri from two things:  1) the inevitable drop-kick she would get from Captain Beckham…and 2) the high risk of suffocation from his wife’s over(t)ly-augmented breasts.  This is proactive parenting!  )

Omg there is nothing wrong with a little baby talk but don’t make a whole different language with it, of course the baby will be slow at talking. And how could you not touch or hold the baby..that’s torture.

They may be rich—but they obviously know NADA about child development.  By restricting physical closeness, cooing and or babbling around their daughter, they are restricting her growth not enhancing it!  Babies/Infants crave close physical contact- it’s what makes them feel safe, secure and loved and as for the babbling/cooing—this enhances language development!  What freaks they are… I have absolutely NO RESPECT for KH, it is one thing to sell yourself out for whatever it is she is seeking from this psychotic realtionship- fame, $$$, who the hell knows and who the hell cares—- but it is quite another to sell out your child!!

Hopefully Katie’s mom will end up calling Child Welfare on them and get the kid in a place where she can be treated like a kid.  I mean, IF there is one.  I think we’ll see her when they dye her hair and have surgery to make her look like either Tom or Katie.  Until then…....

Baby talk is NOT stupid!!!!! Extensive scientific research has proven that newborns and infants respond to motherese (what y’all call baby talk) more significantly than if you use long words and sentence with an adult intonation. The newborns and infants who are exposed to more ‘baby-talk” develop language more quickly than their peers who have had minimal or no exposure to it. A newborn and an infant responds more to baby talk because of the high pitch and therefore pays more attention to the message. Try using baby talk and normal adult talk around a newborn -infant (0 to 12 months) and you’ll see the difference in the child’s reaction. Baby talk should not be used around children older than 12 months; unless they have a language/speech delay.

Anyhoo, Tom is right that it’ll affect Suri’s development… it’ll most likely retard her language development. What an A-HOLE! He can’t read b/c of his severe dyslexia so I guess he’ll never educate himself as a parent.

I get the no baby talk policy because my parents never did that with me and discouraged it from visitors as well. Babies to speak earlier when they hear people speaking normally around then.

What I don’t get is why Katie’s own parents are allowed to see the baby whenever they please. It’s their daughter, and if it wasn’t for mama Holmes’ hard labor, Tom wouldn’t have a baby Suri, indeed if one exists. And I don’t get the whole no touching thing. While the Beckhams are not necessarily what we could call normal, they never look dirty. I thought babies needed human contact.
