Paris Hilton's pardon plea to California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has
been laughed out of his office.

The hotel heiress appealed to her fans to sign a petition after she was
sentenced to 45 days in jail for driving with a suspended license and sent
it to the actor-turned-politician.

But calls to Arnie's office inquiring about the petition were met with
mockery.

The governor's press secretary, Aaron McLear, said: "The petition will be
treated no differently than any other request filed to the governor's
office.

"The governor only acts in extraordinary circumstances."

Paris' mother Kathy Hilton is furious her daughter has been given a jail
term.

She told the USA Today newspaper: "This is pathetic and disgusting, a waste
of taxpayers' money with all this nonsense. This is a joke."

The 45-year-old even implied the judge only decided to jail Paris to become
famous.

When the judge sentenced the socialite, Kathy laughed out loud and blurted,
"May I have your autograph?"

When Judge Michael T. Sauer walked into his parish church on Saturday
(05.05.07), the day after sentencing Paris, he was greeted by rapturous
applause.

well, there must be some exceptions in law. and maybe in this case, it’s one of the special circumstances. If she doesnt escape the sentence, her reputation would be ruined. when she gets out, everyone is so gonna ask about her experience in the prison. which is really humiliating and embarassing.
nonetheless, she still have to serve the sentence, but give some sympathy and stop mocking her.

alvinW…Kathy Hilton slid off the “respectibility” ladder herself when she dissed the Court, the Judge, the prosecution and the California justice system in its entirety after the Judge ruled on the case.  “Sympathy, respect over ruined, devestated reputations”, you ask?  DENIED— for Paris and her parents.

Just wait—next she’ll be asking for community service or to go to some type of rehab problem as a last attempt to not go to jail.

yes they are not above the law…yes they get away with things b/c of a courpt system but paris showed a blatant disregard to the law & her first punishment

this isn’t about oh paris got a DUI lets jail her this is about paris got a DUI and days later she was driving around, speeding, going to clubs & still driving while intoxicated PERIOD and what made it worse is she tried to pull the “i didn’t know” excuse like i said in ANYONE’s case ignorance is no excuse for the law if joe shmoe pulled that he would get a sentence too..except he wouldn’t be like this is not fair it’s the polices fault it’s this person fault it’s his fault for being joe shmoe it’s the cars fault for being so drivable it’s everyones fault but hers

paris hilton DWS/driving to & from clubs night after night & getting pulled over for speeding & driving with her headlights off 45-days *blames everyone, thinks she’s above the law , etc etc

If I did what she did, I’d be going to jail too. It’s a normal sentence. She’s not above the law, and we are only being so hard on her because she is acting as if she is. She is making it pretty easy to talk shit.
