The pregnant 'Fantastic Four' actress and fiancé Cash Warren were delighted to discover they will be welcoming more than one baby this summer.
The source said: "Knowing that she's going to have twins has literally turned Jessica's life upside down. She and Cash have had to scrap their plans for a one-baby nursery and start all over again."
Jessica - who has been keeping up her exercise and healthy eating routine during the pregnancy - is also said to be determined not to find out the sex of her babies.
The source added: "Cash and Jessica aren't sure whether they want to know the sex of the babies now or wait to be surprised when Jess gives birth on June 8."

The 26-year-old star isn't the only celebrity expecting two bundles of joy.
Jennifer Lopez has reportedly checked into Long Island's North Shore University Hospital ready to give birth to a twin boy and girl - her first children with husband Marc Anthony.
Angelina Jolie and her partner Brad Pitt are also said to be getting ready for the arrival of twins.

Pregnant Jessica Alba has hit back at "haters" who claim she is ashamed of her Latin roots insisting: "I'm excited for my baby to be brown." Sin City star Alba, 26, has long been attacked on the internet and by Latin reporters for not being proud of her heritage and not speaking Spanish. But now Alba stands proud on the cover of Latina magazine, insisting: "I always took pride in being Latina." And the pregnant actress also revealed that she is now taking Spanish lessons, and plans to only speak Spanish to her baby. Alba believes that, ironically, rather than hiding her Latina roots she feels that everyone else is trying to steal some of her "flavor".
"I like that I look different; I like having flavor," she said. "I think it's funny that women get their lips injected, butt implants, everyone wants to look like us now." She also says she feels proud that she is one of the people making the "mainstream" readjust how they see the "face of America".
She says the biggest step came when she was chosen as the new face of Revlon. "It appeals to the mass market, and the faces are me and Halle [Berry]," she said proudly. "I love that we're representing America."
