The film, which also stars Justin Timberlake and Jessica Alba, topped the
list by The New York Post newspaper, which claims it is unfunny and
embarrassing.
Explaining why the movie had topped the chart, the paper said: "Films like
'The Love Guru' and 2003's 'The Cat in the Hat' are destroying all the
comedy credibility Myers built through the 'Wayne's World' movies and
'Austin Powers' films. Thank goodness for 'Shrek'. 'The Love Guru' also
stars acting legends Jessica Alba and Justin Timberlake."
Next on the list is Paris Hilton's 'The Hottie and the Nottie', with Katie
Holmes' 'Mad Money' and Cameron Diaz' 'What Happens in Vegas' also featuring
in the top five.
On Paris' latest foray into film, the paper wrote: "Is it worth describing
the plot to this Paris Hilton-starred stinker? We won't bother, because you
shouldn't bother watching it. According to Box Office Mojo, the film grossed
less than $1.6 million as of November 26, which sounds generous."
'What Happens in Vegas' drew an equally scathing comment: "The easy joke is
that this bomb should have stayed in Vegas. We took the easy way out."
