The 'Pieces of Me' singer says her dad is "awesome", despite rumors he
dictates every part of her life, including who she dates.
She said: "He's so awesome. I'm lucky because he truly does care about me,
and some people would be after money or this or that. He's actually one of
my really good friends. People really have the wrong idea about him."
Ashlee is currently dating Fall Out Boy star Pete Wentz and says the couple
couldn't be happier.
She said: "He's an awesome, supportive boyfriend and we both give each other
honest opinions so that's cool. That's all I could ever ask for."
Ashlee - the younger sister of singer Jessica - also revealed she hates
constantly being in the public spotlight.
She said: "It's frustrating if there's a photographer outside Starbucks when
you're getting a coffee, or at the grocery store when you're in your
pyjamas. I've definitely had moments where I'm like, 'Ah, get out of my
face!'"
Her dad is more into Jessica's business anyway.
